How to Save and Reuse a Report Draft (Search Progress & Search Summary)

Step-by-step: saving your field and section selections as a draft when generating a Search Progress Report or Search Summary Report, and reusing it next time.

Written by Amogh Balikai

When you generate a Search Progress Report or a Search Summary Report, you choose which fields and sections to include. You can now save that configuration as a draft so you don't have to rebuild it the next time you generate a report for the same job or a different one.

Steps

  1. Open a job and go to generate a Search Progress Report or Search Summary Report.

  2. Select the fields and sections you want included, the same way you normally would.

  3. Click on generate report and then on the next screen, click on Save as Draft.

  4. The next time you generate a report of that type, load your saved draft from the top right corner instead of rebuilding your selections from scratch.

Things to know

  • Search Progress Report drafts and Search Summary Report drafts are saved separately, since the two reports have different fields and sections.

  • A saved draft keeps its own configuration even if you later change your default settings elsewhere.
