How to Star a Candidate in the Kanban View

Star a candidate card in the Kanban view to pin them to the top of any stage they're moved to — keeping your most important candidates always visible.

Written by Vipakshi Joshi

Starring keeps your most important candidates visible — no matter how many other cards pile up in a stage.

What it does

When you star a candidate in the Kanban view, their card is pinned to the top of whichever stage they're in. Move them to a new stage and they stay pinned at the top there too.

How to star a candidate

  1. Open a job and switch to the Kanban view.

  2. Hover over the candidate card you want to pin.

  3. Click the star icon that appears on the card.

  4. The star turns solid and the card moves to the top of its current stage.

To un-star, click the star icon again.

Practical example

You're working a sourcing stage with 30+ candidates. Three of them are high-priority — you've had initial calls and want to keep them front of mind. Star each one and they'll stay pinned at the top as more candidates are added to the stage.

Things to know

  • Starring is per-job — a starred candidate in one job won't be starred in another.

  • The star persists when you move the candidate to a different stage within the same job.

  • Any team member with access to the job can see and update the star status.
