How to Resolve Investor Groups (Map, Create, or Dismiss)

Map, create, or dismiss any investor group — one variant at a time or in bulk.

Written by Amogh Balikai

Once a scan finishes, resolve each investor group on the results page by mapping it to an existing company, creating a new one, or dismissing it.

Map to the suggested profile

1. Open the Investor Mapping Agent results page.

2. Find the group you want to resolve.

3. Click Map to [suggested profile].

This establishes a company-to-company investor relationship between the resolved investor profile and every portfolio company any variant in the group appeared on — visible from both sides.

Dismiss a variant

1. On the group, click Dismiss next to the variant you want to remove.

2. Confirm.

Dismiss is scoped to the specific portfolio company the variant appeared on. It won't resurface for that company on future runs, but it's unaffected on any other company where the same or a related variant shows up.

Example: "Accel" appears on both Acme Inc. and Beta Corp. You dismiss it on Acme Inc. On the next run, "Accel" no longer shows up for Acme Inc., but it still surfaces normally for Beta Corp.

Resolving a subset in bulk

1. Within a group, select the checkbox next to the specific variants you want to act on.

2. A bulk action bar appears showing how many are selected.

3. Choose Map, or Dismiss selected.

Bulk actions only apply to the variants you selected within that one group — they never apply across different investor groups.

When a group is fully resolved

Once every variant in a group is mapped, created, or dismissed, that group is removed from the results view automatically.
