Merging Duplicate Candidate Profiles

Merge duplicate candidate profiles in Recruiterflow to consolidate contact details, job history, and activity into a single record.

Written by Arnav A

Duplicate candidate profiles can happen even with Recruiterflow's automatic duplicate detection (which checks email, phone, and LinkedIn URL). When you spot one, you can merge the two profiles — consolidating all their activity, job associations, and contact details into a single record.

Merging cannot be undone. The profile you merge from gets deleted. Double-check you have the right profiles selected before confirming.

How to merge candidate profiles

  1. Open the candidate profile you want to keep as the primary record

  2. Click the options icon (⋯) and select Merge profiles

  3. In the merge window, search for the duplicate profile you want to remove

  4. Click Merge to confirm

What happens when profiles are merged

  • The duplicate profile is permanently deleted. Only the primary profile (the one you opened first) remains.

  • Contact details are consolidated. Any email addresses, phone numbers, or social profiles present on the duplicate but missing from the primary are added to the primary profile.

  • Job history and activity carries over. Job applications, scorecards, scheduled events, and email communications from the duplicate are all transferred to the primary profile.
