Job Change Alert Agent is a digital employee sitting in your account that works 24x7 to keep your candidate and contact database up to date. It detects when people in your database switch jobs and notifies you about it.

The core benefit here, however, is that it helps you identify high-value opportunities, like when a contact or a candidate becomes a hiring manager, and keeps your database up to date with minimal manual work.

Why Job Change Alerts Matter

There are two key benefits to using Job Change Alerts:

1. Win Deals When Contacts Become Hiring Managers

Get notified when someone in your network transitions into a hiring role. This gives your team the perfect window to reach out and win recruitment business before your competitors do.

2. Keep Candidate & Contact Data Fresh

Automatically keep your database current. Job Change Alert Agent ensures you have the most accurate and updated information, helping you:

  • Save time updating profiles manually

  • Quickly find the best-matched candidates for open roles

  • Avoid working with outdated or unreachable contacts

Note: The Job Change Alert Agent is part of Recruiterflow's Custom Plan. Please reach out to the Success Team if you need access.

How to View and Use Job Change Alerts

Step 1

You will see the Job Change Alert Agent as a new field in the sidebar, as shown in the image below. Upon clicking, you will be taken to the default 'Candidate' Alerts.

You can switch to Contact Alerts by clicking on the respective tab, as seen in the image below.

Step 2

Each tab has 4 segments autocreated:

All Alerts: This will showcase all the profiles where a job change was detected

My Alerts: This will showcase the profiles where a job change was detected, and you are the lead owner

Completed: This will show the alerts that were accepted with the latest job switch

Dismissed: This will show the alerts that were rejected for updating

Step 3

There are two ways to accept or reject the alerts here:
Individual method: You can either click on the accept or reject button adjacent to an alert, as seen in the image.

You can also open a profile here and choose to accept or reject an alert,as seen below.

Bulk method: You can select multiple profiles on the table and accept or reject alerts based on your requirement.

You can also use the filters attached here to slice and dice the profiles based on company, industry, or any other criteria and choose to just update those profiles in bulk.

What to Do With a Job Change Alert

When you receive an alert:

For Contacts (Potential Hiring Managers):

  • Click into their profile to confirm the new role and company.

  • Reach out immediately with a tailored message or call to pitch your services.

  • Log a note or task to track follow-up and deal progress.

For Candidates:

  • Update their profile with a new role and company (if needed).

  • Re-engage if they’re relevant for open roles or new opportunities.

  • Mark availability or status changes to keep your database fresh.

Best Practices

  • Check alerts weekly to stay on top of movements.

  • Act fast when someone becomes a hiring manager—timing is key.

  • Use alerts to refine your outreach strategy and boost placement success.

  • Keep your data enriched to get more accurate alerts (e.g., email addresses, LinkedIn URLs).
