How to force chrome to update your extensions if you are still on the older version of chrome extension

LinkedIn often changes it's page and URL structure which may sometimes cause the chrome extension to not work as expected. We try our best to keep up with the changes and release a new version of the extension to accommodate the changes.

If you are facing an issue, sometimes it might be that you are on the older version of the chrome extension. Once we push a new release to the chrome extension, it takes 24-48 hours to automatically update on your browser. However, you can force chrome to update your extensions fairly easily.

Step 1:  Turn on developer mode in the extensions

Go to your Chrome settings (3 dots in upper right of Google Chrome) -> More Tools -> Extensions.

On the top right centre of the page, you will see a toggle to turn on or off your developer mode.  Turn on the toggle to enter developer mode.

Step 2:

Once you have turned on the developer mode, you will see an option called "Update." Click on update.
