Bulk Disqualifying Candidates

Disqualify a group of candidates from a job in one action, with a single reason.

Written by Debangana Mitra

Clear out candidates who aren't a fit for a role in one action — no need to open each profile and disqualify one at a time.

How it works

Disqualifying moves candidates out of the active pipeline for a job and records a reason (like "Not a culture fit" or "Salary expectations too high"). Bulk disqualification is the quickest way to clean up after a screening pass.

Steps

  1. Open the Candidate Inbox.

  2. Filter by the job you want to disqualify candidates from.

  3. Use the checkbox on each candidate card to select the candidates.

  4. Click Disqualify at the top.

  5. Pick a disqualification reason from the dropdown and confirm.

An example

You're working a Java Developer role and have 40 candidates in the "Phone Screen" stage. After running screens, 15 didn't have the required Spring Boot experience. Filter the Candidate Inbox to that job and stage, select those 15, click Disqualify, and pick Skills mismatch as the reason.

Things to know

  • Disqualification is job-specific - disqualifying a candidate from one job doesn't affect their status on other jobs they're attached to.

  • Disqualification reasons are configured in Workspace Settings by an Admin. If you don't see the right reason in the dropdown, ask your Admin to add it.

  • Disqualified candidates stay in your database and remain searchable - they're just removed from the active pipeline for that role.
