Deleting a stage movement corrects an accidental or erroneous move in a candidate's history. Once deleted, the movement is permanently removed from the timeline and stops counting in all reports and metrics.
Who can delete stage movements
Only two types of users have access to this action:
Admins β can delete any stage movement
The user who created the movement β can only delete their own
If you don't have permission, the delete option won't appear in the timeline.
How to delete a stage movement
Open the Stage Movement Timeline on the candidate's profile (see Understanding Stage Movement Timeline)
Find the movement you want to delete
Click the bin icon (ποΈ) next to the movement
A confirmation dialog appears warning that deleting will affect reports, job page metrics, and related data
Type DELETE (uppercase) in the text field
Click Delete to confirm
The movement is removed and the timeline refreshes immediately.
Deleting a movement to the Hired stage
This is a higher-stakes deletion. Removing a move to a Hired stage also permanently deletes the associated Placement record and all linked revenue data. An additional warning makes this explicit before you confirm.
What changes after deletion
Timeline and activity log
The movement disappears from the Stage Movement Timeline immediately. An activity entry is automatically added to the candidate profile β attributed to you β noting which stage movement was deleted and which job it was associated with.
β
Reports affected
The deleted movement stops counting across all relevant reports, including the Stage Movement Breakdown Report, Job Pipeline Report, Job Page metrics, Moved to Stage KPI, Time to Fill, Days in Stage, Company Page, and Milestones.
Things to know
Deletion is permanent. There is no undo.
Historical reports are updated immediately β the movement won't appear in any past data
"Added to Job" and "Disqualification Reason Changed" entries cannot be deleted
If deletion fails, the movement stays in the timeline with no changes made
