Formatted Resumes in Recruiterflow: Overview

What the formatted resume feature does, who it's for, and what you need before getting started.

Written by Amogh Balikai

Recruiterflow's formatted resume feature lets you present candidates to clients in a consistent, professional format without reformatting manually every time. Build one branded template in your account settings, then apply it to any candidate's resume with a few clicks. The result is a polished Word or PDF document ready to share with clients.

What you can do with formatted resumes

  • Create branded templates — Add your agency's logo, header, footer, and watermark so every submission looks on-brand.

  • Redact candidate information — Hide names, contact details, or photos for blind submissions. You control what clients see.

  • Apply to any candidate — Once a template exists, any recruiter on your team can format a resume from the candidate's profile.

Who does what

  • Admins — Create, edit, and delete resume templates in Settings. The template library is shared across the whole workspace.

  • All users — Apply a template and generate a formatted resume from any candidate profile.

Before you start

Two things need to be in place before anyone on your team can generate a formatted resume:

  1. At least one resume template must be created in Settings > Document Settings > Formatted Resumes. If no template exists, the Format Resume button will not work.

  2. The candidate must have a resume uploaded to their profile. The feature formats an existing resume file, it does not generate one from scratch.

Where to find it

  • Template setup: Settings > Document Settings > Formatted Resumes

  • Generating a formatted resume: Open any candidate profile > Files > Options Generate Format Resume
