How to Mark a Company as an Investor

Add an investor to a company's profile and map it to a Recruiterflow company record.

Written by Amogh Balikai

Adding an investor to a company's profile is what creates the portfolio relationship in Recruiterflow — and it's done from the portfolio company's profile, not the investor's.

Steps

  1. Open the company profile for the portfolio company (for example, a client or prospect backed by a PE firm).

  2. Find the Investor field on the profile.

  3. Start typing the investor's name. Recruiterflow suggests investor names you've already mapped elsewhere in the account, so you can reuse an existing one instead of creating a duplicate.

  4. Select a matching existing company profile from the dropdown

  5. Save the profile.

What happens next

The investor's own company profile automatically gains a Portfolio card listing this company, along with every other company that names it as an investor. You don't need to do anything on the investor's profile itself.

Example

Your firm places candidates for "Northwind Robotics." On Northwind's company profile, you add "Meridian Capital" as its investor and map it to Meridian's existing Recruiterflow profile. Meridian's company page now shows Northwind Robotics in its Portfolio card, alongside any other portfolio companies already mapped to it.

Things to know

  • A company profile can have multiple investor entries. Keep adding them if a company has more than one investor.

  • On the AIRA Plan or with JCA enabled, Recruiterflow also adds investor mappings automatically as it finds them, in addition to what you enter manually.
