Investor & Portfolio Tracking: Limits & Known Behaviors

Portfolio depth, mapping scope, and other behaviors worth knowing before you rely on this feature.

Written by Amogh Balikai

A few behaviors of Investor & Portfolio Tracking are by design in this release, worth knowing upfront so nothing catches you off guard.

Limit or behavior

What happens

Portfolio depth capped at one level

If a portfolio company is itself an investor, its own portfolio doesn't chain into the parent investor's Portfolio card, filters, or Job Company Investor column.

No cross-account mapping

Investor mappings don't carry over between Recruiterflow accounts. Each account's mappings are independent.

No manage-all-investors screen

There's no single view listing every investor mapping in your account. Mappings are added and edited from each company profile individually.

Portfolio card has no filtering or sorting

The Portfolio card is a flat list in this version, showing every mapped portfolio company with no sort or filter controls.

Related companies filter is investor-only

The four-option filter dropdown on Contacts, Jobs, Deals, and Placements only appears on investor profiles. Non-investor profiles keep their current, unfiltered cards.

Enrichment is plan-gated

Automatic investor mapping only runs on the AIRA Plan or with JCA enabled. Other plans require manual entry for every investor relationship.

Investor data outside the company profile is limited

The Job Company Investor column on the Jobs list is currently the only place investor or portfolio data surfaces outside the company profile itself.

No fund-level contact attribution

This feature tracks company-to-company investor relationships. Attributing a specific fund contact to a portfolio company is handled separately, through the primary contact on the Contact card.
