Can a contact be a board member at more than one company?
Yes. Board membership is tracked as a company association on the contact's profile, and a contact profile can hold multiple companies. Adding a contact to the Board block on a second company's Org Chart adds that company as another entry on their profile, alongside any others.
Does removing a board member from one company affect their board membership at other companies?
No. Each board membership is its own company association on the contact profile. Removing one does not touch any others.
Can a board member also be part of the reporting hierarchy?
A contact can have a "Reports To" relationship and a board membership at the same time, but these are tracked separately. Being added to the Board block does not create or remove a reporting-line position, and the reverse is also true.
Is there a limit to how many board members a company can have?
No. A new Board block appears each time you fill the current one, so you can add as many board members as the company actually has.
Does adding someone as a board member change their primary company or job title?
No. Their existing primary company and title stay exactly as they are. The board-member company is added as an additional, secondary company with the title "Board Member" specific to that association.
Where do I see a contact's board memberships from their own profile?
On the contact's profile, board-member companies appear alongside their other associated companies. Each shows "Board Member" as the title for that specific company.
