Who this is for: Recruiters and Admins with questions about how automatic bounce email rotation behaves.
Can I turn bounce rotation off?
No — rotation is automatic and applies to every sequence. There's no setting to disable it.
Does rotating to a new email count as a new step or a new touchpoint?
No. It's a retry of the same step against a different address — it doesn't add an extra step to the sequence or change the recipient's position in it.
Will I be notified when a rotation happens?
Not currently as a separate notification.
Does this affect my sender's deliverability or reputation?
Rotation changes which recipient address is used, not which sender account sends the email — it doesn't add extra sending volume beyond the retry itself.
What if I only have one email address for a recipient?
Rotation has nothing to rotate to, so a hard bounce moves the recipient straight to Bounced status. Add a second address to their profile to give a step somewhere to fall back to.
Does this apply to Manual Email and Marketing Email steps, or just Automated Email?
It works on all kinds of email steps - Automated, manual, marketing emails.
