Add a domain to the Domain Blocklist to stop any email on that domain from ever being saved to a candidate or contact profile, whether someone's adding a new record or editing an existing one. This is an Admin-only setting.
Add a domain
Go to Settings → General Settings.
Find the Domain Blocklist section.
Enter the domain you want to block, for example
competitor.com. Don't include@orwww.Press Enter to add it to the list and click on Save.
The domain is saved immediately and takes effect right away.
Formatting rules
Domains are automatically converted to lowercase, so
Competitor.comandcompetitor.comare treated as the same entry. If you enter something that isn't a valid domain format, Recruiterflow flags it with an inline error instead of silently accepting it.
Example
A retained search firm has an active non-compete with a former client. An Admin adds the company's email domain to the Domain Blocklist. From that point on, if anyone on the team adds a candidate or contact with an email on that domain, the profile is still created, but the email is left off it. And if anyone tries to edit an existing profile to add an email on that domain, Recruiterflow blocks the change and shows an error, no matter which entry point they use.
Things to know
Only Admins can view and edit the Domain Blocklist.
The block applies to every user account-wide, not just the Admin who added it.
Creating a record with a blocked email and editing one behave differently. See Where Domain Blocklist Applies for exactly what happens at each entry point.
