Domain Blocklist FAQ

Common questions about how the Domain Blocklist works, who can use it, and what it covers.

Written by Amogh Balikai

If I add a candidate or contact whose email is on a blocked domain, does Recruiterflow reject the whole profile?

No. The profile itself is still created. Recruiterflow just leaves the blocked email off the saved record rather than storing it.

Can I edit an existing profile to add an email on a blocked domain?

No. Unlike creation, editing is actively blocked. Recruiterflow rejects the change and shows an error naming the blocked domain.

Who can add or remove domains from the blocklist?

Only Admins. It's not available to non-admin roles.

Is Domain Blocklist available on all plans?

It's available on Platform and AIRA plans.

Does blocking a domain remove candidates, contacts, or emails already in my database?

No. Domain Blocklist doesn't touch profiles or emails that were already saved before you blocked the domain. It only governs that domain's emails going forward, stripping them at creation and rejecting them at edit.

Is there a limit to how many domains I can block?

There is no upper limit on the no. of domains you can block.

Can I block one specific email address instead of a whole domain?

No, Domain Blocklist only works at the domain level. To restrict a specific individual without blocking their whole company, use Off Limits instead.

Do I need to worry about uppercase vs. lowercase when entering a domain?

No. Domains are automatically converted to lowercase and matching isn't case-sensitive.

How is this different from Off Limits?
