Set a default video conferencing option for your calendar events

Choose the video conferencing tool Recruiterflow adds to new calendar events automatically.

Written by Amogh Balikai

Choose the video conferencing tool Recruiterflow adds to new calendar events automatically, so you do not pick one every time you schedule an interview or client call.

What the default does

When you create a calendar event in Recruiterflow, you can attach a video meeting link. The default video conferencing option decides which tool gets attached automatically. You can still change it on any individual event.

Use this when most of your meetings happen on one platform and you want the link added without extra clicks.

How the default works

  • Google Calendar connected: new events get a Google Meet link.

  • Microsoft calendar connected: new events get a Microsoft Teams link.

  • Send a meeting link turned off: new events get no video link.

How to change your default

  1. Go to Settings > Profile Settings and open your calendar settings.

  2. Find Default video conferencing provider.

  3. Choose a tool from the dropdown.

How to use a different tool on one event

  1. Create or open the calendar event.

  2. In the video conferencing field, choose a different option, or remove the link.

  3. Save the event.

The change applies to that event only.

Example

Dana's agency uses Google Workspace, so Meet is her default. For one candidate who prefers Teams, she switches that single event to Teams. Her default stays Meet for every other event.

Things to know

  • The default applies to new events only. Events you already created keep their current link.

  • Others (a link you paste yourself) cannot be set as the default. You can still use it on an individual event.

  • If your connection to a video tool expires, Recruiterflow asks you to reconnect before it can add links.

  • Turning off Send a meeting link means new events have no video link until you add one.
