Run a radius search in Recruiterflow

Find candidates, contacts, companies, jobs, and deals near any city or address using Google Maps.

Written by Amritanshu Anand

Pull every candidate, contact, company, job, or deal within a set distance of any city or address. Radius search runs on Google Maps locations under the hood, so anything you can search on Maps works as a filter input.

Where you can use radius search

Radius search is available across five record types — open Advanced Search on any of them:

  • Candidates

  • Contacts

  • Companies

  • Jobs

  • Deals

Run a radius search

  1. Open Advanced Search on the record type you want to search.

  2. Click Add filter.

  3. Select Radius search from the filter list.

  4. Enter a location — a city, neighborhood, address, or zip code — and set the radius in kilometers or miles.

  5. Apply the filter to see every record within that radius.

Practical example

You're filling a Senior Backend Engineer role in Brooklyn and want to source from candidates already in the area. Open Advanced Search on candidates, click Add filter, choose Radius search, set the location to "Brooklyn, NY" and the radius to 25 miles. Results show every candidate within commuting distance of the office.

Things to know

  • The filter pulls from Google Maps, so spelling and format follow Maps conventions. If a location doesn't autocomplete, try a wider variant — for example, "Austin, TX" instead of "Austin".

  • Distance is measured as a straight-line radius, not drive time. Bump the radius slightly if you want to account for road layout.

  • Records are matched on the location stored on their profile. A candidate or company without a location won't appear in radius results, even if they're geographically nearby.

  • Stack a radius filter with any other filter — skills, tags, stage, source — to narrow further.
