Assigning LinkedIn Messaging Licenses to Users

Learn how to control which team members can send LinkedIn messages directly from Recruiterflow by assigning purchased licenses.

Written by Abhishek Satija

Control which team members can send LinkedIn messages from Recruiterflow by assigning your purchased licenses to specific users. Each license activates access for one person — only those with a license assigned can use the integration.

⚠️ Admin only: Only users with Admin permissions can assign or revoke LinkedIn Messaging licenses.

How to assign a LinkedIn Messaging license

Step 1: Open User Settings

Go to SettingsUsers. Find the user you want to enable and click the edit icon next to their name.

Step 2: Enable the license

In the user edit panel, check the Assign LinkedIn Messaging License checkbox. The panel also shows how many licenses remain in your account.

Click Save.

Step 3: Confirm the assignment

Back on the Users list, you'll see a LinkedIn icon in the License Assigned column next to the user — confirmation that the license is active.

Things to know

  • Licenses are limited to your purchased count. If all licenses are in use, you'll need to unassign one before enabling another user.

  • Unchecking the Assign LinkedIn Messaging License box and saving immediately revokes that user's access.

  • Once licensed, users can send LinkedIn messages and InMails directly from candidate and contact profiles inside Recruiterflow.

  • License management doesn't affect a user's other permissions — it only controls LinkedIn Messaging access.
