Recruiterflow uses your Google Workspace (GSuite) or Microsoft 365 account to send email, capture replies, and create calendar invites on your behalf. Before those features work, each user has to grant permission. This article covers how to connect and what to do if something goes wrong.
What you're connecting
Recruiterflow connects via the official Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 APIs. The connection is per-user, every recruiter on your team grants access for their own mailbox and calendar.
How to connect
Sign into Recruiterflow.
Click the gear icon in the top nav and go to Permissions.
Click Connect now.
You'll be redirected to your Google or Microsoft sign-in page. Pick the account you want Recruiterflow to use.
Review the requested permissions and click Allow (Google) or Accept (Microsoft).
You'll land back on the Permissions tab with a thumbs-up confirming the connection is live.
Email and calendar features unlock right away, no need to refresh.
For Google Workspace admins
If you'd rather pre-approve Recruiterflow for the whole workspace, install the Recruiterflow app from the GSuite Marketplace and choose Domain Install during setup. Only a domain admin can do this. Once installed, each user still clicks Connect now on the Permissions tab to authorize their personal mailbox and calendar, but the OAuth consent step is smoother because admin approval covers the workspace.
A short video on the Permissions tab walks through the marketplace install if you need a visual.
Practical example
A new recruiter joins the agency. They sign into Recruiterflow, head to Settings β Permissions, click Connect now, and approve the permissions for their Google Workspace account. The next time they open a candidate, Send Email and Schedule Interview both work because the connection is live.
If the connection fails
The sign-in page shows an error from Google or Microsoft.
Your IT admin has likely restricted third-party app access in your workspace. Forward the error message to your IT admin and ask them to allow Recruiterflow as a connected app, or do a Domain Install from the GSuite Marketplace (Google Workspace).
You picked the wrong account.
Sign out of the wrong account in another browser tab, then return to the Permissions tab and click Connect now again.
Nothing happens when you click Connect now.
A privacy extension or strict ad blocker may be intercepting the redirect. Disable extensions for recruiterflow.com and try again.
Things to know
The connection is per Recruiterflow user. Connecting your account doesn't connect your teammates'.
If you revoke Recruiterflow access from your Google or Microsoft account settings, the integration breaks immediately. Reconnect from the Permissions tab to restore it.
Google Workspace admins can pre-approve Recruiterflow with a Domain Install from the GSuite Marketplace. Microsoft 365 admins can do something similar via tenant-wide app consent β check with your IT admin.
