Once AIRA generates a meeting summary, you have full control to edit, format, and finalize the content before sharing it internally or with clients. This guide walks you through how to work with AIRA summaries and best practices for clear communication.

What Can Be Edited?

After your meeting is processed, you can edit the summary directly from the Meeting Page or the Calls section.

Editable elements:

  • Top summary paragraph

  • The full summary or individual sections of the summary

  • Participants

  • Pronouns and language formatting

You can also choose to regenerate the summary using a different template.

πŸ”Ή Call Summary – Keep It Short & Focused

The summary section appears at the top of each call page. It provides a quick 2–3 sentence overview of the meeting.

This is auto generated by us.

βœ… Example: Screened a senior product manager for the Lead PM role. Strong background in fintech; open to relocation. Discussed timeline and next steps.

Summary Sections – Be Clear & Structured

Each section is based on the summary template you selected. These can include:

  • Candidate Background

  • Role Fit

  • Concerns

  • Next Steps

You can edit any section to improve clarity, fix grammar, or tailor the message for clients.

Best practices:

  • Use bullet points for lists or multi-part responses

  • Keep paragraphs short and skimmable

  • Maintain an appropriate tone

Regenerate vs Manual Edits

Regenerate Summary

You can regenerate the entire summary using a different template. This re-parses the transcript and formats the summary accordingly.

  • Use this when the call type was misidentified

  • Great for switching between candidate, contact, or joint call templates

Manual Edits

You can manually update any section as well.

  • Use this for light polishing or content fixes

  • Ideal for making summaries client-ready before sending

  • Edits are saved to the summary
