Tag multiple candidates at once

Bulk-tag a group of candidates from the Candidate Inbox in one action.

Written by Debangana Mitra

Tagging candidates one at a time gets old fast. From the Candidate Inbox, you can select any group of candidates and add one or more tags in a single action.

How it works

Tags are flexible labels β€” use them to group candidates by source, skill, role fit, event attended, or any other dimension you want to filter on later. Bulk tagging is the fastest way to label a batch of candidates after a search, an import, or an event.

Steps

  1. Open the Candidate Inbox.

  2. Use the checkbox on each candidate card to select the candidates you want to tag.

  3. Click Add tag at the top of the page.

  4. Start typing the tag name. Pick an existing tag from the dropdown, or type a new name to create one.

  5. Click Add to apply the tag to every selected candidate.

An example

You just imported 80 resumes from a hiring event. In the Candidate Inbox, filter to your latest import, select all 80 candidates, and add the tag Career Fair – May 2026. Now you can pull that exact list back anytime via Advanced Search using the tag filter.

Things to know

  • You can add multiple tags in one go β€” keep typing additional tag names before hitting Add.

  • Tags are workspace-wide. Anyone on your team will see and be able to filter by the tags you create.

  • To remove tags in bulk, use the same flow with the Remove tag option.
