Who this is for: Recruiters and admins who need to change the same field on a lot of candidate or contact profiles at once — without opening each one individually.
What bulk update does
Bulk update lets you change up to 5 fields across multiple candidate or contact profiles in a single action. Use it whenever you'd otherwise be opening profiles one by one to make the same edit — assigning an owner, correcting a source, updating a status, adding tags, and so on.
It works on both candidates and contacts, from the main list pages or from any Advanced Search result.
How to bulk update
Open the Candidates or Contacts page, or run an Advanced Search to narrow down to the people you want to update.
Use the checkboxes to select the profiles you want to change.
Click Update Fields.
4. In the modal, pick the field you want to change and set the new value.
5. Add more fields if you need to update several things in the same action.
6. Confirm to apply the changes across every selected profile.
A practical example
You've just imported 80 candidates from a LinkedIn search and want to mark them all with Source = LinkedIn Outbound and assign them to a teammate. Open the Candidates page, filter to your new import, select all 80, click Update Fields, set Source and Owner, and confirm. Both fields update on all 80 profiles in one go.
Things to know
You can update a maximum of 5 fields per bulk action. If you need to change more, run a second update.
Bulk updates apply the new value to every selected profile, so make sure your selection is filtered down before you confirm.
Both system fields and custom fields appear in the field picker.
There's no built-in undo for a bulk update — if you change your mind, you'll need to run another bulk update with the previous value.
