Update a field across hundreds of profiles in seconds. Whether you're tagging a batch of candidates, reassigning a recruiter to multiple jobs, or clearing a stale field, bulk update saves you from making the same change one profile at a time.

This works across Candidates, Contacts, Jobs, Companies, and Deals.

How to bulk-update profiles

  1. Go to the list view for the entity you want to update (e.g., Candidates, Contacts, Jobs, Companies, Deals).

  2. Select the profiles you want to change. You can check individual rows, or check the Name checkbox at the top to select all profiles on the page. You can also run an Advanced Search first and then bulk-select from those results.

  3. Click Update fields in the action bar that appears above the list.

  4. In the Bulk update fields dialog, click the Field dropdown and select the field you want to change.

  5. Click the Action dropdown and choose what you want to do with that field.

  6. Set the value (if required by the action), then click Update fields to apply.

Tip: You can also do the same from Advanced Search. Run a search to filter down to exactly the profiles you need, select them, and follow the same steps above to bulk-update fields.

The three actions explained

Add — Appends a new value to the field without removing what's already there. Useful for adding a tag or a recruiter to profiles that may already have other values.

Change to — Replaces the current value with a new one. Use this when you want to overwrite what's there, not stack on top of it.

Remove values — Clears all values from the selected field across every chosen profile.

Updating multiple fields at once

You can update up to 5 fields in a single operation. After setting your first field and action, click + Add more at the bottom of the dialog to add another field. All changes apply together when you click Update fields.

Practical example

Your team just closed a search for a retail client and you need to tag 200 candidate profiles as "Retail — Placed 2026" and assign them to a new recruiter. Select all 200 profiles from the Candidates list, open Update fields, set Field = Tags / Action = Add / Value = "Retail — Placed 2026", then click + Add more, set Field = Recruiter / Action = Change to / Value = the new recruiter's name, and apply. Both changes hit all 200 profiles in one shot.

Things to know

  • Bulk updates are applied immediately and cannot be undone in bulk — double-check your selection and field values before clicking Update fields.

  • Remove values clears all values from that field on every selected profile, not just a specific one. Use it carefully on multi-value fields like Tags.

  • You can reach bulk update through Advanced Search as well — run your search to filter down to exactly the profiles you need, then select and update.

  • The Name checkbox selects only the profiles visible on the current page. If you have more profiles than fit on one page, use Advanced Search to filter first, or paginate and repeat.
