Goals in Recruiterflow make it easy to set measurable targets like placements, submissions, or revenue and track progress at every level.
Creating a New Goal
Step 1: Head to the Goals tab
Go to Reports → Goals → Create New Goal.
Select a metric you’d like to track.
Step 2: Choose Your Metric
Available Metrics (powered by Advanced Reporting):
Recruiting Metrics: Placements, Submissions, Interviews Scheduled, etc,.
Sales Metrics: Revenue, Deals Closed, Pipeline Value, etc,.
Custom metrics (if configured)
Adding Filters:
You can filter metrics to make goals more specific.
Example:
Metric: Placements
Filter: Job Name = “Software Engineer”
Result: Goal tracks only software engineer placements
Step 2: Set Frequency and Scope
Frequency Options
Frequency | Best For | Example |
Weekly | High-volume activities | Candidate submissions, calls made |

Scope Options
Company-Wide Goals
Tracks overall agency performance
Can be broken down by teams
Example: “Company hits 200 placements this quarter.”
Team-Specific Goals
Assigns goals to one or more teams
Can be broken down by users
Example: “Sales Team hits 30 placements per month.”
User-Level Goals
Assigns goals directly to individual users
Great for personal performance tracking
Example: “John achieves 5 placements per month.”
Step 3: Set Targets
Company Goal (No Team Breakdown)
Enter a total target (e.g., 50 placements/month).
The goal tracks company-wide progress.
Company Goal (With Team Breakdown)
Enter the company target (e.g., 50 placements/month).
Enable Set Team Targets.
Assign values per team:
Sales Team → 30 placements/month
CS Team → 20 placements/month
Note: Team targets don’t need to add up to the company target. You can set stretch or overlapping goals.
Team Goal (With User Breakdown)
Select one or more teams (e.g., Sales Team).
Enter the team target (e.g., 30 placements/month).
Enable Set User Targets and assign per-user goals:
John → 10 placements/month
Sarah → 15 placements/month
Mike → 5 placements/month
User Goal
Select users (e.g., John, Sarah, Mike).
Enter individual targets for each.
Step 4: Configure Notifications
Notification Types

Who Receives Notifications
Goal Creator: Company-wide updates
Team Manager: Updates for their team only
User: Updates for their personal goals only
After configuring notifications, click Create Goal to save.
Editing a Goal
What You Can Edit
✅ Goal name
✅ Target amounts (increase or decrease)
✅ Notification settings
What You Cannot Edit
❌ Metric or filters or Scope (changes the goal’s definition)
❌ Frequency (e.g., weekly → monthly)
❌ Duration (start/end dates are fixed once created)
How to Edit
Go to Goals Dashboard → Click on the goal you want to update.
Click Edit Goal (top-right corner).
Make changes in the same 3-step flow (details, target, notifications).
Click Save Changes.
Only Admins and the Goal Creators can edit and delete goals.
Deleting a Goal
How to Delete?
Go to Goals Dashboard → Select the goal you want to delete.
Click Delete Goal (red button).
Confirm deletion.
⚠️ Deleted goals cannot be recovered. All related historical data will be removed.

Example 1: Monthly Placements Goal
Goal Name: Monthly Placements
Metric: Placements
Frequency: Monthly
Scope: Team (Recruiting Team)
Target: 30 placements/month
User Breakdown: John (10), Sarah (15), Mike (5)
Notifications: Weekly updates, goal met/exceeded alerts
Example 2: Quarterly Revenue Goal
Goal Name: Q1 2025 Revenue Target
Metric: Revenue
Frequency: Quarterly
Scope: Company-wide
Target: $500K
Team Breakdown: Sales ($300K), Recruiting ($200K)
Notifications: Monthly updates, goal exceeded alert
Example 3: Weekly Submissions Goal
Goal Name: Weekly Candidate Submissions
Metric: Submissions
