What Are Bulk Actions?
Bulk actions allow you to select multiple candidates from your search results and perform actions on all of them at once, instead of processing candidates one by one.
Available bulk actions:
Add to Database – Import multiple candidates into Recruiterflow simultaneously
Find Email – Look up email addresses for multiple candidates (2 AIRA credits per candidate)
Find Phone – Look up phone numbers for multiple candidates (2 AIRA credits per candidate)
Add to Job – Assign multiple candidates to a specific job opening
Add to Sequence – Enroll multiple candidates in an outreach sequence
Bulk actions save time and help you move quickly from discovery to engagement.
When to Use Bulk Actions
Bulk actions are most valuable in these scenarios:
Building Talent Pools
When you're sourcing 10-50 candidates at once for future roles or ongoing hiring needs, bulk actions let you quickly populate your database without clicking through individual profiles.
Fast-Tracking Outreach Campaigns
If you need to launch a campaign quickly, such as filling an urgent role or reaching out to a specific target group, bulk actions let you add candidates, find contact info, and enroll them in campaigns in minutes.
Multi-Role Sourcing
When sourcing for multiple jobs simultaneously, bulk actions allow you to select groups of candidates and assign them to different roles efficiently.
Step-by-Step: Bulk Adding Candidates
Step 1: Execute a Search and Review Results
Run your search using the required filters (Job Title, Location, Years of Experience, Function) and any optional filters to refine your results.
Review the candidate cards to get a sense of the pool. Look for indicators like current role, company, location, and email/phone availability.
Step 2: Select Candidates Using Checkboxes
Check the boxes next to the candidates you want to add. You can select up to 10 candidates per page.
Pro Tip: Don't select blindly. Quickly scan each candidate card to confirm they meet your basic requirements before checking the box.
Step 3: Click "Bulk Add to Database"
Once you've selected your candidates, click the Bulk Add to Database button that appears at the top of the results.
All selected candidates will be imported into Recruiterflow. If you selected a job in the "Source For" field at the start of your search, candidates will automatically be added to that job in the Sourced stage.
Step 4: Choose Follow-Up Actions
After adding candidates to your database, you can immediately perform follow-up actions:
Find Email – Look up email addresses for the selected candidates (2 AIRA credits per candidate)
Find Phone – Look up phone numbers for the selected candidates (2 AIRA credits per candidate)
Add to Job – Select a job from the dropdown to assign candidates to that role
Add to Campaign – Select a campaign from the dropdown to enroll candidates in an outreach sequence
You can perform multiple actions in sequence. For example, you might add candidates to a job, then find their emails, and finally add them to a sequence, all without leaving the AIRA Source interface.
Bulk Action Best Practices
Review Profiles First; Don't Add Blindly
While bulk actions are fast, quality matters. Quickly scan candidate cards for key signals like job title, company, location, and experience before selecting them. This prevents adding irrelevant candidates who will clutter your database.
Use the "Source For" Field
When you select a job in the "Source For" field before searching, candidates added via bulk actions are automatically assigned to that job in the Sourced stage. This eliminates an extra step and keeps your pipeline organized.
Monitor Credit Usage
Email and phone lookups consume 2 AIRA credits per candidate. If you're performing bulk lookups on 10 candidates, that's 20 credits for emails and 20 credits for phone numbers (40 credits total).
Before running bulk lookups, check the email/phone availability indicators on candidate cards. Prioritize candidates who have contact information available to maximize your credit efficiency.
Paginate Through Results for Larger Pools
AIRA Source displays 10 results per page. If you need to add more than 10 candidates, repeat the bulk add process on subsequent pages. Select candidates on page 1, bulk add them, then move to page 2 and repeat.

Example 1: Building a Talent Pool for Future Roles
Goal: Create a pool of 30 Software Engineers for future hiring needs.
Run a search: Job Title = "Software Engineer", Location = "United States", Years of Experience = "3-8", Function = "Engineering"
Review page 1 results (10 candidates)
Select all 10 candidates → Click "Bulk Add to Database"
Move to page 2 → Select 10 more → Bulk add
Move to page 3 → Select 10 more → Bulk add
Result: 30 candidates added in under 5 minutes
Follow-up: Later, when a Software Engineer role opens, you can search your database for these candidates and add them to the job.
Example 2: Fast-Tracking an Urgent Campaign
Goal: Launch an outreach campaign for a VP of Sales role within 24 hours.
Run a search: Job Title = "VP of Sales", Location = "San Francisco Bay Area", Years of Experience = "10-15", Function = "Sales", Seniority = "VP"
Select "Search For" = [VP of Sales role]
Review results → Select 10 candidates
Click "Bulk Add to Database" (auto-added to VP of Sales job)
Click "Find Email" (20 credits consumed)
