How to Delete a Deal Pipeline

How Admins delete a deal pipeline, including how to safely migrate existing deals to another pipeline first.

Who this is for: Admins only. Only Admins can delete pipelines from CRM Settings.

Deleting a deal pipeline is permanent. Before Recruiterflow removes the pipeline, it walks you through what happens to any deals currently inside it — so nothing gets lost.

Before you delete

Ask yourself:

  • Are there active deals in this pipeline that should be moved to another pipeline?

  • Do you want to keep the deal history (activities, emails, notes) on those deals after the move?

Deal history is preserved when deals are migrated to a new pipeline during deletion.

Deleting a pipeline with no deals

If the pipeline has no deals in it:

  1. Go to CRM Settings → Deal Pipeline

  2. Click Delete on the pipeline you want to remove

  3. A confirmation pop-up will appear — type DELETE to confirm

  4. Click Confirm

The pipeline is permanently removed.

Deleting a pipeline that contains deals

If the pipeline has active deals, you must reassign those deals to another pipeline before deletion can proceed.

  1. Go to CRM Settings → Deal Pipeline

  2. Click Delete on the pipeline

  3. A pop-up appears asking you to choose a destination pipeline for the existing deals

  4. Select the pipeline where these deals should move

  5. Once selected, the pop-up lists every stage in the pipeline being deleted that currently has deals in it

  6. For each stage, choose the corresponding stage in the destination pipeline where those deals should land

  7. Review your stage mappings, then click Confirm Delete

Example: You are deleting a "Partner Sales" pipeline that has deals in "Intro Call" and "Proposal Sent" stages. You choose "Direct Sales" as the destination pipeline, then map:

  • Partner Sales → Intro Call maps to Direct Sales → Discovery Call

  • Partner Sales → Proposal Sent maps to Direct Sales → Proposal Sent

All deals from those stages move to the mapped stages in "Direct Sales" and the "Partner Sales" pipeline is deleted.

Things to know

  • You cannot delete the last pipeline. At least one pipeline must always exist in your account.

  • Only Admins can delete pipelines.

  • Deletion is permanent — there is no undo.

  • Deals moved during deletion retain their full activity history (emails, notes, tasks).

  • If stage names match exactly between the two pipelines, they are not automatically mapped — you still need to confirm each mapping manually.

  • Pipeline cannot be changed on individual deals after creation — bulk migration during deletion is the only way to move deals between pipelines.
