Launching a Sequence

Pre-launch validation requirements, how to launch immediately or schedule for later, and what Recruiterflow does during the launch processing phase.

Who this is for: Recruiters who have finished building a sequence and are ready to go live.

Before you can launch

Recruiterflow runs a validation check before enabling the Launch button. The sequence must pass all of the following:

  • All email steps (Automated, Manual, Marketing) have a subject line and body

  • All SMS steps have a message body

  • All LinkedIn Message steps have a message body

  • All Task steps have a task title

  • The sequence does not end on a conditional branch (branches must resolve to a step)

  • At least one sender is selected

  • A sending schedule is configured

If any of these are missing, the Launch button remains disabled. Incomplete steps are flagged visually in the builder — fix them before attempting to launch.

Note: Sequences can be launched even if senders haven't connected LinkedIn or their marketing email integration. Those recipients will error out when they reach the relevant step — they won't block the launch.

Launch now vs. schedule for later

Launch immediately

Click Launch Sequence to start the sequence right away. Recruiterflow will begin processing recipients and queueing sends according to your configured schedule and delays.

Schedule for a future date

Select a future date and time before clicking Launch. The sequence moves to Scheduled status and activates automatically at the chosen time. Until then:

  • You can launch it immediately using Launch Now from the Sequences table

  • You can reschedule it to a different time using the Re-Schedule option

  • Recipients can be added in advance

What happens when you click Launch

After clicking Launch, a processing modal appears while Recruiterflow prepares the sequence. The status message updates in real time based on what's being processed:

  • "Generating AIRA content for recipients..." — if any steps contain AIRA blocks (coming soon)

  • "Processing recipients and preparing the delivery queue..." — assigning senders and initialising sends

  • "Validating sequence structure and branch conditions..." — if branching is configured

  • "Assigning senders to recipients..." — when sender prioritisation or round-robin is in use

  • "Scheduling sequence for future launch..." — when a scheduled launch time was selected

  • "Finalising sequence setup..." — the final step before the sequence goes live

Once complete, the sequence status updates to In Progress (or Scheduled) in the Sequences table.

Exiting without launching

If you close the builder at any point before launching, the sequence is automatically saved as a Draft. Return to it from the Sequences table whenever you're ready to complete setup and launch.
