Why this distinction matters
Most company filters in AIRA let you choose whether to apply the filter to a candidate's Current company or Any company in their work history. Getting this wrong changes your results significantly, and it's easy to miss if you're applying filters quickly.
Definitions
Current — The company the candidate is employed at right now. Only one company qualifies. Filters against this company's live enriched data.
Any — Any company in the candidate's work history, including their current employer. A candidate could match this filter based on a role they held 10 years ago.
Example: same filter, different results
Filter: Company Stage is Series B
With Current: Returns candidates currently employed at a Series B company. If the company has since moved to Series C, they won't appear.
With Any: Returns candidates who have ever worked at a company while it was at Series B stage — including candidates now at a much later-stage or public company.
Use Current when you care about where someone is now. Use Any when you care about what they've experienced.

Things to know
Filters that apply to Current only use the company's live enriched data. If the company hasn't been enriched yet, the filter may not return results for that candidate.
Filters that support Any use historical data from the candidate's work history record. The data reflects the company's state during the period the candidate was employed there — not the company's current state.
If a candidate has had multiple stints at the same company (left and rejoined), both periods are evaluated independently when using Any.
