Who this is for: Admins. Mapping fields for sync is restricted to Admin users.
Candidate-Contact Field Sync keeps a candidate's profile and their linked contact profile pointed at the same field values, so updating one updates the other automatically. Mapping is what tells Recruiterflow which candidate field talks to which contact field.
Before you start
You need to be an Admin
Field Sync needs to be turned on for your workspace first, under CRM Settings → Sync Profile
Mapping fields
Go to CRM Settings and open the Sync Profile tab as seen in the image above
You'll see a list of candidate system fields, each with a matching contact field already paired next to it: Email, Phone, Source, Current Title, Current Company, Lead Owner, LinkedIn, Website, Tags, Location, Experience
Toggle on the pairs you want to sync. You don't have to sync every field, only switch on what's useful for your workspace
Click Save in the bottom
Example
An exec search firm is tracking someone who's both a candidate and a client contact. The Admin toggles on Current Title, Current Company, and Tags. When the candidate's title changes after a promotion, the matching contact profile updates instantly, no manual edit needed on the contact side.
Things to know
Email and Phone sync as Add — the new value gets added alongside what's already there. Candidate and contact can still keep different primary emails independently
Most other fields sync as Replace — Current Title, Current Company, Source, Lead Owner, LinkedIn, Location, and Experience overwrite the matched field any time either side changes
Tags sync as Add/Remove — adding or removing a tag on one profile mirrors on the other
