What Is the Duplicate Companies Detection Agent?

An overview of the Duplicate Companies Detection Agent — what it finds, who can run it, and how it keeps your company database clean.

Written by Amogh Balikai

The Duplicate Companies Detection Agent scans your entire company database and finds records that likely refer to the same organization — like "Google," "Google LLC," and "Google, Inc." — so you can merge them into one clean profile.

Company records get duplicated automatically over time. Adding a contact creates a company from their employer. Importing a job creates one from the client name. Syncing a LinkedIn profile creates one from the listed employer. None of these flows check whether a matching company already exists, so the same organization ends up split across several records — each with its own contacts, jobs, and activity history.

What it does

Run it from the AIRA agent directory and it scans your full company dataset in the background, usually within about 10 minutes. You don't need to keep the page open — Recruiterflow notifies you by email and in-app when it's done.

Results come back as clusters: a parent company with one or more likely duplicates grouped beneath it, each scored with a confidence level. You review each cluster and choose to merge, dismiss, or reassign the parent — nothing happens automatically without your review.

Who can use it

Only account admins can see and trigger this agent. It doesn't appear in the AIRA agent directory for non-admin users. See Admin Access & Permissions for more on why.
