Access on the Adaptive Job Profile comes down to three levels: Admin, a role with the Edit Job permission, and a role without it (View Job only). Here's how that plays out across the page.
Header and core fields
Capability | Admin | Edit Job | View Job only |
View all header fields | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Edit side-sheet fields | Yes | Yes | No |
Edit quick-edit fields (Status, Visibility, Tags, Work Arrangement) | Yes | Yes | No |
Clone / generate reports / Send To | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Close / Delete Job | Yes | Yes | No |
Details tab cards
Same split: View-only users see every card but can't edit any of them. The Job Highlights card is the one exception, it has no edit mode for anyone since every value on it is a computed count.
One thing to flag to your team
Admins always have full access regardless of how a custom role is configured. If someone reports they can't do something you'd expect them to, check their role's Edit Job toggle before assuming it's a bug.
