What's Changing: The Adaptive Deal Profile

A full rundown of everything changing on the Deal profile — the new 3-column card layout, inline editing, the Associated Company/Contact/Job cards, and Quick Actions.

This article covers every change coming to the Deal profile. It's for recruiters, BD/sales, deal owners, and Admins working Deals in Recruiterflow.

It's also part of a bigger shift: Recruiterflow profiles are moving away from giving every recruiter the same fixed record, and toward workspaces that adapt to how your firm actually operates. The Deal profile is the latest one built this way, configurable at the Organization, Team, or Individual level, so a BD-heavy desk and a delivery-focused desk can both work from the same underlying data without seeing the same screen.

The short version

The Deal profile is no longer one fixed page. It's now built from cards, small modular sections like Associated Company, Associated Contact, Associated Job, Tasks, and Files, arranged across three columns that you can rearrange to match how your team actually works a deal.

A 3-column, card-based layout

Column 1 holds a fixed Top Card: company logo, deal name, pipeline, amount, created on date, expected close date, deal stage, and owner. Close date only appears once the deal is Closed Won or Closed Lost. Below it sit your Quick Actions.

Columns 2 and 3 are configurable. Column 2 also has two tabs: Overview (your chosen cards) and Activities (a full activity log with Deal-specific filters).

Three new relationship cards

  • Associated Company Card — the one company tied to this deal, at a glance.

  • Associated Contact Card — every contact linked to the deal, with photo, title, email, phone, and socials, without leaving the page.

  • Associated Job Card — once a deal closes, every job it produced, with submitted/hired stats.

The Associated Company and Associated Contact cards must appear in at least one of your three columns; they can't be removed entirely, though you can move them.

Editing happens inline now

Most Top Card fields are click-to-edit directly on the page. No separate edit screen. Associated Company and Associated Contact are the exception, they're managed from their own cards, not inline.

Closing a deal now offers to create the job for you

Moving a deal to Closed Won shows a summary of the movement, asks for a reason and close date, and gives you the option to create a job that's automatically linked to the deal with the company pre-filled.

Things to know

  • A Deal can only ever have one Company and can have multiple Contacts and (once closed) multiple Jobs.

  • Your layout choices are saved and follow you across sessions and devices.

  • Field-level edit permissions still apply — if you can't edit a field today, you'll see it read-only in the new layout too.
