Adaptive Deal Profile: Limits & Known Behaviors

Known constraints on the new Deal profile: one company per deal, no bulk actions on the Job card, and other behaviors worth knowing.

Behavior

Detail

One company per deal

A deal can never have more than one associated company. There's no primary/secondary concept like on the Contact profile.

No company creation from a deal

You can only link an existing company, never create a new one from the Deal profile.

Jobs only after Closed Won

The Deal-to-Job association can't exist before a deal closes as Won. No workaround exists for open deals.

No bulk actions on the Job card

Associating, creating, or removing jobs happens one at a time from this card. There's no multi-select.

One contact added at a time

The Add Contact pop-up doesn't support multi-select, you link one contact per action.

Mandatory cards can't be fully removed

Associated Company and Associated Contact must appear in at least one column. They can be moved, never removed.

Company-mismatch check runs once

It fires only at the moment a contact is added, not on any later profile change.

Associate a Job shows open jobs only

Closed jobs for the deal's company won't appear in the Associate a Job dropdown.

Search bar threshold

The job search bar only appears once a deal has more than 5 associated jobs.

No inline editing of company or org chart data

The Associated Company Card is view-only apart from changing which company is linked.

Things to know

Most of these aren't bugs to report, they're deliberate scoping decisions in the current release. If you hit a limit above and think your workflow needs more, flag it as feedback rather than assuming it's broken.
