Using the Layout Editor: adding, removing, and reordering cards

The core mechanics of building any view — drag, drop, and column rules.

Written by Amogh Balikai

The Layout Editor is where every view — All users, Team, Specific-user, or Personal — gets built.

How it works:

  • Cards can live in the left or right sidebar, and the center column; drag any card into the Left, Middle, or Right column.

  • Not every card supports every column — for example, Experience is Left and Middle-only. If you try to drop a card in a column it doesn't support, it will be rejected with a clear message.

  • Drag a card's handle up or down within a column to reorder it. A horizontal line shows exactly where it will land.

  • Some cards can be added more than once (multiple instances), each with independent settings — see "Creating Multiple Instances of the Same Card."

Example: Dragging the Tasks card above Experience in the Left column moves pending tasks to the top of that column for anyone using this view.

Things to know:

  • Changes aren't live until you click Publish.

  • There is no undo after publishing — reverting requires manually editing the previous layout.
