Choosing the Language for a Retranscribe

Why Retranscribe Recording uses your Notetaker language setting instead of a per-call language picker.

Written by Amogh Balikai

When you retranscribe a call, Recruiterflow uses the language configured in your account's Notetaker settings, not a language you select for that specific call.

Why this matters

If a call was garbled because AIRA Notetaker identified the wrong spoken language, retranscribing without changing your language setting first will produce the same result. Update the language setting before you retranscribe.

How to update the language setting

  1. Go to Notetaker Settings.

  2. Find the language configuration for transcription.

  3. Set it to the language actually spoken on the call you're correcting.

  4. Return to the call and click Retranscribe Recording.

Things to know

  • This setting is global. Changing it affects the language used for future retranscribes on any call, not just the one you're currently fixing.

  • If your team regularly takes calls in more than one language, coordinate before changing this setting, since it isn't call-specific.
