How to Remove a Domain from the Blocklist

Unblock a domain so candidates and contacts from it can be added again.

Written by Amogh Balikai

Remove a domain from the Domain Blocklist when a restriction no longer applies, for example when a non-compete expires or a client relationship changes. This is an Admin-only action.

Remove a domain

  1. Go to Settings → General Settings.

  2. Find the Domain Blocklist section.

  3. Locate the domain in the list.

  4. Click the remove icon next to it.

The domain is removed immediately. Going forward, candidates and contacts with that email domain can be added, or edited to include that email, through any entry point again.

Things to know

  • Removing a domain doesn't retroactively restore any emails that were stripped while it was blocked. Those emails were never saved anywhere, so if you want them back on a profile, they need to be re-added manually now that the domain is unblocked.

  • Profiles that were created while the domain was blocked stay in your database either way. Removing the domain only changes what happens to that domain's emails going forward, it doesn't touch existing profiles.

  • There's no confirmation step or cool-off period before a removal takes effect, unlike Off Limits. Double-check before removing an entry if you're not sure the restriction is meant to be lifted yet.
