Custom Metrics in Recruiterflow give you the flexibility to track and analyze performance in a way that fits your unique workflows. Once created, these metrics can also be used in Advanced Reports, allowing you to build powerful, customized dashboards and share insights across your team.

Refer to the following article to understand more about custom metrics: What are custom metrics?

Creating a Custom Metric

To build a Custom Metric:

  1. Go to Reports > Recruiterflow BI and click on the Custom Metrics icon as seen in the image below.

  2. Click + New Metric

  3. In the next window,

    1. Give your metric a clear name and description (e.g., Average Revenue per Hire)

    2. On the right side, select your first metrics and the operator.

  4. Use operators to create your formula:

    • + to add metrics

    • - to subtract

    • * to apply weights

    • / to calculate ratios

    • % to convert into a percentage

  5. Click Save. Your metric will now appear in the Custom Metrics Library.

πŸ“Œ Example:
To track recruiter outreach effort, create a metric like:
Calls Made + Emails Sent + LinkedIn Messages Sent

Pro Tip: You can use a definite number in setting up your custom metric or combine one or more already created custom metrics.

Using Custom Metrics in Advanced Reports

Once your metric is created, you can use it in an Advanced Report to visualize performance over time.

To do this:

  1. Go to the Reports section from the left-hand navigation panel and select Recruiterflow BI.

  2. Now, click + New Report if you want to create a new report from scratch or edit an existing report.

  3. In the next screen,

    1. Choose your report type (Visual, Table, etc.)

    2. Under the X axis, select whether you want to measure the performance of your company, teams, or users.

  4. In the Y axis section, click on the + Metric button and just search for the custom metric you want to pick.
You will also find all your custom metrics at the bottom of the list.

  5. Select the time duration and finally click on 'Save Report'

πŸ“Œ Pro Tip:
Use charts or tables to visualize how your custom metric trends across time, recruiters, or teams.

Use Case Examples

  • Track Productivity Over Time:
Use a custom metric like Emails Sent + Calls Made in a line chart to track weekly output.

  • Compare Recruiter Efficiency:
Create a metric like Interviews Scheduled / Calls Made to identify top-performing recruiters.

  • Performance Dashboards:
Combine multiple custom metrics into one advanced report to create a team leaderboard or quarterly review dashboard.

What’s Next?

You can create as many custom metrics as you need. Try experimenting with different formulas to see what works best for your team.
