What Are Signal Trackers?

Signal Trackers are your conversation intelligence tool. They help you spot patterns, trends, and important topics across all your recorded calls without manually reviewing every transcript.

Think of them as smart alerts that listen for specific words or phrases in your meetings. Whether it's tracking how often candidates mention "remote work," share some constraints on the compensation, or measuring the urgency of the hiring. Signal Trackers automatically capture these moments for you.

The simple version: You tell AIRA what to listen for, and it highlights every time those topics come up in your conversations across all your calls, all in one place.

Why Signal Trackers Are Useful

Here's what you can do with them:

πŸ“Š Spot trends across conversations

  • See how often candidates ask about salary, benefits, or work-life balance

  • Track how many times competitors are mentioned in client calls

  • Identify recurring objections or concerns

🎯 Coach your team better

  • Understand which talking points resonate most

  • See if your team is mentioning key selling points

  • Identify training opportunities based on what's NOT being discussed

πŸ’‘ Make smarter decisions

  • Discover what candidates really care about (not just what they say they care about)

  • Understand market trends from actual conversations

  • Find patterns you'd miss by reading individual call summaries

⏱️ Save time

  • No more manually searching through transcripts

  • Get an instant view of where specific topics were discussed

  • Jump directly to relevant moments in your call recordings

Best Practices for Using Signal Trackers

βœ… Start Specific, Then Expand

Don't try to track everything at once. Start with 3-5 signals that matter most to your business right now.

Good first signals:

  • Competitor names for business development

  • Key objections (pricing, implementation time, etc.)

  • Must-have benefits or perks candidates ask about

  • Deal-breakers mentioned in client calls

βœ… Use Consistent Naming

Create a naming convention so your team knows what each signal tracks.

Examples:

  • "COMP - [Competitor Name]"

  • "OBJECTION - Pricing"

  • "CANDIDATE - Remote Work"

βœ… Review Signals Weekly

Set a reminder to check your Signal Tracker once a week. Look for:

  • Signals trending up (new concerns emerging?)

  • Signals trending down (did you solve a problem?)

  • Patterns you didn't expect

βœ… Share Insights with Your Team

Use signal data in team meetings:

  • "We've heard 'work-life balance' in 80% of candidate calls this month. Let's emphasize our flex-time policy"

  • "Competitor X was mentioned 15 times last week. Here's how we're different"

βœ… Adjust Signals Over Time

Signals that worked last quarter might not matter this quarter. Regularly:

  • Archive old signals that no longer matter

  • Create new signals for emerging trends

  • Refine keywords based on what you're actually hearing

FAQs

Q: Do Signal Trackers work on past calls?

A: No, signals only start tracking from the moment you create them. They won't retroactively scan old calls.

Q: How accurate is the tracking?

A: AIRA uses AI to catch not just exact keyword matches, but also similar phrases and variations. So if you track "remote work," it'll also catch "working remotely" and "work from home."

Q: How many signals can I create?

A: There's no hard limit, but we recommend focusing on 10-15 meaningful signals rather than tracking everything. Quality over quantity!

Q: Can I edit a signal after creating it?

A: Yes, you can edit the name, keywords, and filters anytime. Changes will apply to future calls only.

Q: What if a signal never appears in any calls?

A: Either the topic isn't coming up naturally, or you might need to adjust your keywords. Try broader terms or check if you're filtering too narrowly

Q: Can I export signal data?

A: No, you can only view signals within Recruiterflow.

Q: Do signals consume AIRA credits?

A: No! Signal Tracking is included with AIRA Notetaker at no additional cost.

Q: Can multiple people see the same signals?

A: Yes, signals are visible to everyone on your team who has access to the calls where they appear.

Q: What's the difference between searching transcripts and using Signal Trackers? A: Searching finds specific text in individual calls. Signal Trackers automatically highlight patterns across all your calls and show you trends over time without you having to manually search each one.
