How to Log an Email by CC'ing the Logging Address

How to log emails to Recruiterflow by CC'ing your logging address — including reply tracking, where to find your address, and what to expect.

Written by Debangana Mitra

Want Recruiterflow to capture not just the email you send, but every reply that follows? CC logging does exactly that — it keeps the full conversation threaded on the candidate or contact's profile automatically.

Find your logging address

Before you start, grab your logging address from Workspace Settings → General Settings → Sync email using CC/BCC. Use the Copy button — don't type it manually. It looks like: log-[accountid]@mail.recruiterflow.com

How to CC the logging address

  1. Open your email client (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, or any other).

  2. Compose a new email to your candidate or contact.

  3. Add your Recruiterflow logging address to the CC field.

  4. Send the email.

Recruiterflow picks up the email, matches it to the right profile, and logs it to the Conversations tab within a few minutes.

How reply tracking works

This is where CC logging really earns its value. When your candidate or contact replies — and the logging address is still in the CC field of their reply — Recruiterflow captures that reply too and stitches it into the same thread on their profile.

Example: You email a candidate about interview times and CC the logging address. The candidate replies with their availability — and since their email client preserved the CC, the reply is captured. Both messages appear on the candidate's Conversations tab as a single thread.

Important: Reply tracking only works if the logging address stays in the CC field on every reply. If the candidate or contact removes it, that reply won't be captured. Most email clients preserve CC recipients automatically, but it's not guaranteed.

Things to know

  • The logging address is visible to the recipient — it appears in the CC field of your email. If discretion matters, use BCC instead (replies won't be tracked, but the address stays hidden).

  • If you email multiple recipients who are all in Recruiterflow, the email logs independently to each of their profiles.

  • Attribution is based on your From address. The email is credited to the Recruiterflow user whose email matches the sender.

  • Attachments are supported and will be included in the logged email record.
