Log any email to a candidate or contact profile in Recruiterflow without connecting your full Gmail or Outlook inbox. CC/BCC email logging gives you a privacy-safe way to keep communication history on record, on your terms.

What is CC/BCC Email Logging?

Every Recruiterflow account comes with a unique logging email address (e.g., log-[accountid]@mail.recruiterflow.com). When you CC or BCC this address on any email you send from your regular email client - Gmail, Outlook, or anything else - Recruiterflow captures that email and logs it to the right candidate or contact profile automatically.

No inbox permissions required. No full email sync. You choose exactly which emails get logged.

Who is this for?

  • Recruiters who haven't connected Gmail or Outlook because they want their inbox to stay private.

  • Recruiters on non-Google or non-Microsoft email who can't use the OAuth integration at all.

  • Anyone who wants selective logging log candidate-facing emails without sharing every thread with the team.

What happens when you CC or BCC the logging address?

  • The email is captured and attributed to you (based on your From address).

  • Recruiterflow matches the email recipients to existing Candidate and Contact profiles in your account.

  • The email appears in the Conversations tab on every matched profile.

  • If you email both a candidate and a contact who are both in Recruiterflow, the email logs to both profiles independently.

CC vs. BCC - key difference

The choice between CC and BCC affects whether reply tracking works:

  • CC the logging address: Replies that also CC the logging address are captured and threaded on the profile. Use CC when you want the full conversation logged.

  • BCC the logging address: Only the outbound email is logged. Replies are not tracked. Use BCC when the email is one-way or when you want to log it discretely.

What this feature does not do

  • It does not replace or affect your existing Gmail/Outlook OAuth integration.

  • It does not allow you to reply to emails from inside Recruiterflow.

  • It does not log calendar invites, read receipts, or non-standard email formats.

  • Contacts and external recruiters cannot use this method to log emails.
