Troubleshooting Scorecard Multi-Attribution

Common issues with scorecard multi-attribution - missing names, no clock icon, version history errors, and reports not reflecting all contributors.

Running into something unexpected with scorecard attribution or version history? Here are the most common issues and what's causing them.

The multi-attribution toggle isn't visible in Settings

Cause: Only Admins can see the Scorecard Settings section. Recruiters and other internal roles don't have access to this toggle.

Fix: Ask a workspace Admin to enable multi-attribution, or check with them if you're unsure whether your role is set to Admin.

Only one name appears on a scorecard even though multiple people submitted

Most likely cause: Multi-attribution was not enabled at the time those submissions were made. The toggle must be ON before submissions happen. It does not retroactively update existing scorecards.

Secondary cause: Someone re-submitted the scorecard after multi-attribution was toggled OFF. When multi-attribution is OFF, any re-submission clears all previous attribution and replaces it with the single new submitter.

Fix: Confirm multi-attribution is currently enabled in Settings β†’ General Settings β†’ Scorecard Settings. If it was recently turned OFF and someone re-submitted, the previous attribution is gone and cannot be recovered from the main display.

The clock icon (version history) isn't showing

Cause 1: Multi-attribution is currently OFF. The clock icon only appears when multi-attribution is enabled.

Cause 2: You're viewing the scorecard from the Client Portal. Version history is internal-only. The clock icon is hidden for all Client Portal contacts by design.

Cause 3: The scorecard has only one submission. A single-submission scorecard still shows the clock icon, but clicking it displays the message: "No version history available. This scorecard has been submitted once."

Fix: Verify multi-attribution is enabled and that you're logged in as an internal user (not via Client Portal).

Version history won't load - shows an error

Cause: A temporary issue fetching version data from the database.

Fix: Close the panel and click the clock icon again to retry. If the error persists, refresh the page and try once more. Version history is audit-only, it doesn't affect your ability to view or submit the scorecard itself. If the problem continues, contact support.

A contributor's name isn't showing in reports

Cause 1: Multi-attribution was not enabled when that person submitted. Submissions made while the toggle was OFF are counted only under the last submitter using the old single-attribution logic.

Cause 2: An Admin removed that person from attribution. Removing a contributor removes them from all reports and the main attribution display (though their submission snapshot is preserved in version history).

Fix: Check whether multi-attribution was active at the time of the submission. If the removal was done in error, contact your Admin. Attribution removal cannot be undone from the UI.

A user says their scorecard submission was overwritten

What's happening: Scorecards in Recruiterflow have a single shared state. When one person submits, their changes become the current version everyone sees. This is expected behavior, it is not a bug. With multi-attribution enabled, the previous submitter's name remains listed and their original submission is stored in version history.

Fix: Use the version history panel (click the clock icon on the Scorecards tab) to see what the previous submitter entered before the scorecard was updated by the next person. Their original snapshot is preserved there.

Autosave isn't creating attribution or version snapshots

This is by design. Autosave only saves draft content to the scorecard, it does not add the user to the attribution list and does not create a version snapshot. Only clicking Submit Scorecard triggers attribution and version history.
