Recruiterflow supports temporary subscription pauses for accounts that need to step away for a defined period, without fully cancelling. During a pause, your account and all data stay intact; you just won't have active access or be billed.
Pausing is different from cancelling. When you cancel, your subscription ends and access is revoked at the end of your billing cycle. When you pause, your account is put into a suspended state and can be reactivated when you're ready, no need to re-onboard, re-import data, or reconfigure settings.
When pausing makes sense
Pausing is typically right for:
Agencies taking a planned break (seasonal slowdowns, team restructuring, parental leave)
Owners who are between clients and want to conserve spend for a defined period
Teams that need to pause hiring activity for a business reason but plan to return
If you're unsure whether pausing or cancelling is the right call, reach out to the support team. They can walk you through the differences based on your billing cycle and plan.
What happens during a pause
Your data is preserved. Candidates, contacts, jobs, notes, pipelines, and documents stay exactly as you left them.
Access is suspended. You and your team won't be able to log in while the subscription is paused.
Billing stops. You won't be charged during an active pause period.
Integrations go inactive. Email sync, calendar sync, and any connected integrations will stop functioning during the pause. They'll need to be reconnected when you reactivate.
Automations and sequences stop. Any active campaigns or sequences will stop sending. Confirm whether you want these paused mid-sequence or stopped before requesting a pause.
What a pause does NOT do
It does not delete your data.
It does not cancel your subscription permanently.
It does not give you a refund for the current billing cycle (pauses take effect at the next billing cycle unless otherwise arranged).
It does not remove your team members or reset permissions.
How long can you pause?
Pause duration is agreed upon at the time of the request. Contact support to discuss what's available for your plan and billing arrangement.
Ready to pause?
See [How to Request a Subscription Pause] for the steps to submit your pause request.
