How to Run the Time to Hire Report

Step-by-step: opening the Time to Hire Report, setting the time period, grouping, filtering, and reading the results.

Written by Amogh Balikai

Run the Time to Hire Report to see how long candidates spend in your pipeline before getting hired, broken down however you need.

  1. Go to Reports and select Time to Hire.

  2. Pick a time period — Last Month, This Quarter, or This Year. This filters by the date each candidate was moved to Hired.

  3. Use Group By to break the data down — Job Role, Lead Owner, Stage Moved By, Added to Job By, Job Company, Department, Engagement Type, Contact, or a custom field.

  4. Open Filters to scope the data using the same options.

  5. Read the Bar Graph for average Time to Hire in days per group, or switch to the Table for exact numbers alongside hire counts.

Practical example

A recruiting manager wants to spot which clients tend to slow down the hiring process on their end. They open Time to Hire, group by Job Company, and immediately see which client accounts have the longest candidate-in-pipeline times — a useful data point for the next account check-in.

Things to know

  • If a Job Role has no assigned user, that hire is bucketed as NA rather than dropped from the chart.

  • The date range filters by hire date, not by when the candidate was added — a candidate added six months ago but hired this week will show up in a "Last 30 Days" view.
