How to Run the Time to Scout Report

Step-by-step: opening the Time to Scout Report, setting the time period, grouping, filtering, and reading the results.

Written by Amogh Balikai

Run the Time to Scout Report to see how fast candidates who were ultimately hired got added to their job, broken down however you need.

  1. Go to Reports and select Time to Scout.

  2. Pick a time period at the top — Last Week, This Month (default), or This Year. This filters by the date each candidate was moved to Hired, not when they were added to the job.

  3. Use Group By to break the data down — Job Role, Lead Owner, Stage Moved By, Added to Job By, Job Company, Department, Engagement Type, Contact, or a custom field. Default grouping is by Job Recruiter → User.

  4. Open Filters to scope the data using the same set of options, plus Job.

  5. Read the Bar Graph for average Time to Scout in days per group, or switch to the Table for exact numbers alongside hire counts.

Practical example

A team lead wants to know which recruiters are fastest at identifying strong candidates. They open Time to Scout, set the period to This Quarter, group by Job Recruiter → User, and immediately see average scouting speed per recruiter side-by-side with how many hires each number is based on.

Things to know

  • Job Role is used for grouping first — if a job has no assigned user for that role, the hire is bucketed as NA rather than dropped.

  • An info icon next to the date selector clarifies that the date range applies to when the candidate was moved to Hired, not when they were added.
