Time to Scout is the number of days between when a job most recently opened and when the candidate who was ultimately hired was added to it.
Formula:
Time to Scout = Date Hired Candidate was Added to Job − Job Open Date
At the job level, Time to Scout is the average of this number across every qualifying hired candidate on that job.
A candidate qualifies when:
They are currently in a Hired stage.
They were added to the job after its most recent Open date.
A candidate is excluded (shown as NA) when:
They were added during an earlier open period and carried over into a later one — Recruiterflow can't attribute the scouting speed to a single open window, so it's excluded rather than guessed.
They were later moved out of the Hired stage.
They have no recorded hire date.
Worked example
A job opens on March 1. It's briefly closed and reopened on April 10. A candidate is added on April 15 and hired on May 20. Because the candidate was added after the most recent open date (April 10), their Time to Scout is April 15 − April 10 = 5 days.
If that same candidate had instead been added back on March 5 — before the job was reopened — they'd be excluded and shown as NA, since their addition can't be cleanly attributed to a single open window.
