Who this is for: Recruiting Managers and Agency Owners who want to use Hiring Velocity proactively, not just reactively.
Ways to use Hiring Velocity
Set a weekly check on submission velocity. Filter for jobs with fewer than your team's typical submission count within the first 2 weeks since open, so you catch stalling roles before a client asks for an update.
Build a "needs attention" saved search. Combine Hiring Velocity with Job Status and Job Recruiter filters, save it, and review it in your team standup.
Compare velocity across job types. Run the same Hiring Velocity filter across different departments or job roles to spot which categories of roles consistently move faster or slower.
Pair it with Fill Probability. A job with low hiring velocity and low fill probability is a strong candidate for a strategy review. See Fill Probability: What It Is and How to Use It.
Use "Last N Days" for a rolling pulse check, and "Days Since Job Open" for lifecycle health. The rolling window tells you about recent momentum; the since-open window tells you whether a job has ever gotten traction.
