Does this work on the old candidate profile?
No. Calendar Activity Mapping is only available on the new candidate profile. See What's Changing: The New Candidate Profile if you're not sure which layout your account is on.
Where can I attach a custom activity to an event?
From a candidate profile's Schedule quick action on the new profile, while creating the event. It's not currently available when editing an existing event from the Calendar Widget, or when scheduling with a contact or client.
Is attaching a custom activity required to schedule an event?
No, it's optional. You can still schedule an event without attaching one, the same way you always could.
Which custom activity types can I attach?
Any custom activity type set up for candidates on your account, regardless of whether that type is currently enabled in your personal Activity Customisation view.
If I reschedule the event, does the activity date change too?
Yes. The activity's date follows the event's date. This works whether you reschedule from Recruiterflow or from your connected calendar app.
If I edit the custom activity's date, does the event move too?
No. The sync only runs one way, from the event to the activity. Editing the activity doesn't change the event.
What happens if I delete the event?
The linked custom activity is deleted too. Deleting the activity on its own doesn't delete the event.
Who does the logged activity get attributed to?
Whoever scheduled the event.
Can I attach files too?
Yes, file attachments on events are a separate capability available in the same scheduling flow, alongside the custom activity option.
