Moving Candidates Between Stages on the Pipeline Tab

The three ways to move candidates between stages on the Pipeline tab, and what happens when you move someone to Hired.

Written by Amogh Balikai

There are three ways to move candidates through stages on the Pipeline tab. Pick the one that fits the moment.

Drag and drop (Kanban view)

  1. Switch to Kanban view.

  2. Drag a candidate's card into the column for the new stage. You can even move them in bulk

  3. Drop it. The card appears in the new column and both columns' counts update.

Stage dropdown (Table view)

  1. Switch to Table view.

  2. Click the dropdown in the candidate's Stage column.

  3. Choose the new stage.

Move several at once (Table view)

Select the candidates, then use the Move Stage bulk action and pick a stage. See "Using Bulk Actions on the Pipeline Tab" for the details, including the one-stage-at-a-time rule.

Moving a candidate to Hired

Moving someone to Hired follows the same flow as the rest of Recruiterflow. If your account requires certain fields at that stage, you'll fill those in first, and then you'll be prompted to create the placement. Finish both so the placement is recorded.

Things to know

  • The Pipeline tab follows the same stage rules as the Kanban on the Jobs page, so any required fields or checks still apply when you move someone.

  • When a candidate moves to Hired or is Disqualified, In Pipeline in the header goes down by 1. Total Candidates doesn't change.

  • To disqualify several candidates at once, use the Disqualify bulk action.
