Troubleshooting the Pipeline Tab

Fixes for common Pipeline tab issues: a missing tab, unexpected counts, disappearing bulk actions, and empty boards.

Written by Amogh Balikai

I can't see the Pipeline tab

Cause: there are three common reasons. You may not have candidate visibility on this job. The Pipeline tab may not be turned on for your account yet. Or an Admin may have moved it along the tab bar.

Fix: scan the whole tab bar first. If it's still missing, ask your Admin to check your candidate visibility on the job, and whether the Pipeline tab has been enabled for your account. Admins can reposition the tab but can't hide it.

In Pipeline is lower than Total Candidates

Cause: this is expected. In Pipeline leaves out Disqualified and Hired candidates.

The header counts don't change when I search or filter

Cause: this is by design. The counts always show the full job.

I can't select candidates from different stages

Cause: for now, bulk actions work on candidates from one stage at a time.

Fix: pick a stage in the stage bar, select within it, and repeat for the next stage.

There's no stage bar

Cause: the stage bar only appears in Table view. In Kanban, the stage columns do the same job.

The Kanban board looks empty

Cause: either every column is collapsed, or a search or filter is hiding all candidates.

Fix: expand a column header, then clear your search and filters.

A custom field isn't in the column list

Cause: only custom fields for the job you have open are listed.

Fix: open the Customise icon in Table view and check the open job's fields.

Kanban is slow on a big job

Cause: very large candidate pools (500 or more) can take longer to render in Kanban.

Fix: narrow with search or filters, or use Table view.

I moved someone to Hired but wasn't asked about a placement

Fix: check whether a required-field popup appeared first and was closed. Finish that step, and the placement prompt should follow. If it doesn't, contact support with the job and candidate name.
