Customize your adaptive contact profile layout

Choose which cards appear on the contact profile, where they sit, and publish the layout for your firm or for yourself.

Written by Amogh Balikai

Adaptive Workspaces lets your search firm choose which cards appear on the contact profile and which column each card sits in, so the page opens on the information your team uses most.

Use this when business development needs Deals and Jobs at the top of every profile, or a delivery desk wants Tasks and Notes front and center. Layout changes affect the contact profile only. Candidate and company profiles have their own layouts.

Change the layout

  1. Go to Settings → Adaptive Workspaces → Contact.

  2. Open the view you want to change. Admins edit the Standard view, which applies to every user who has no view of their own. Recruiters build a Personal view that applies to them alone. Or you can create a new altogether by clicking on the +New View button

  3. In the Layout Editor, add a card to a column, move a card between columns, or remove a card. Each card lists the columns it can sit in. See Contact profile card reference for the full list.

  4. Choose which action icons appear in the top-left card, and in what order.

  5. Name the workspace, select who you want to share it with and then click Publish.

Required cards

Four cards must sit in at least one column before you can publish: Contact Info, Jobs, Deals, and Company details.

When any are missing, one pop-up lists every missing card by name and blocks the publish. Add each card to any column, then publish again. The check runs when you click Publish. While you edit, you can move cards freely.

Example

Lena Fischer leads business development at a healthcare staffing agency. She builds a Personal view, places Deals at the top of the left column and Jobs below it, and publishes. Every contact she opens now starts on her pipeline. Her colleagues keep the Standard view.

Things to know

  • The top-left card is fixed. No role can remove, move, or reconfigure it.

  • Publishing the Standard view applies the change to every user who inherits it.

  • Users can configure their own views independently. Their changes never alter the Standard view.
